You should first mix the essential oils. Thereafter, mix them intensively with the separated coconut and then let it harden. Then, you can easily scoop some out and rub it on your skin.

In addition, you can create a product by utilizing a nebulizing diffuser. Today, it is considered the most effective method of making your own repellent. More so, it is beneficial for individuals who do not wish to come into close contact with the repellent. For this, you require 8 drops of tea tree oil, 8 drops of citronella oil, 8 drops of lavender oil, and a nebulizing diffuser like the ones offered by organic aromas.

You should be keen on the oils you choose since some of them have negative side effects. Caution should be taken in cases of expectant women, individuals who are under treatment and young kids because some repellents can alter body functions. The only oil that can be applied on the skin directly is the lavender oil and tea tree oil. When using other types of oil ensure they are diluted in the right ratios.
