Who On God's Earth Is Steve Nash?

By Evan Sanders

What can you learn about the relationships you have in your life from a famous basketball point guard?

A ton.

You see, Steve Nash wasn't the biggest guy ever. In fact, he's pretty small for a NBA basketball player standing at only 6ft 3in. But boy could the guy handle the ball...

But what made him so much fun to watch?

He could pass like no one else.

He could find a seam in the defense and exploit it like none other. He could pick apart another team easily.

He did that for years on end.

One time, a reporter asked him what his goal was when he went out onto the court every day and his answer to the question was perfect. So good in fact it has me writing about it years later.

He said that he didn't aim to be the highest scorer or the flashiest player out there on the court...

But that he wanted to be the guy that made everyone else twice as good as they could have been.

He would turn average players into great players...

And the great players into incredible ones. That was his goal.

So today I ask you...how are you making the people in your life better?

Are you an addition to their lives are you a subtraction?

You can ask this question of every single type of relationship that you have.

But there's another piece to this and it's just as important about what you bring to the table...

How are people adding to your life? Are they making you better? Are your relationships healthy or toxic?

If you truly want to grow in this life, you have to get rid of anyone who is making you worse and sucking the energy out of you. You don't have time for that. You should aim for you life to be a drama free zone and clear out anything that is creating waves. Life will do that on its own. It's your job to hold up your end of the bargain.

Don't every forget that you are direct product of the experiences you have and the people you hangout with.

Always remember that.
